Enjoyment and fun!

When I go hiking and backpacking I now try to make sure I go with an attitude of having fun and enjoyment. Seeing the beautiful landscapes has been a real reward for the trips I have taken. I used to be very serious about the time span I completed a trek and how challenging I could make it. I would end up taking the enjoyment out of the trip and miss all the beautiful views. I now keep it simple and just enjoy 1 hiking boot in front of the other, a step at a time.

I have always tried to make camping trips special for my kids, by planning camping activities we could do to add extra fun and adventure, taking them on small trails but more important, giving them quality time without the outside noise of work, commitments or money issues. Family camping is special, saving money and spending quality time with the kids are only two of the major benefits.
